Considering..

Justin and I are considering taking the plunge! (No silly we are already married) We are talking about me going into the photography business. In the past I have done 9 weddings, Senior Pictures, and 2 engagement pictures. This was with my 35mm SLR film camera. I haven't tackled the expense of a digital SLR yet... this is what we are about to embark on. We think! We are praying for wisdom and seeking how best to advertise and so forth! So if you will pray with us in this that would be great!

Reflections on Motherhood @ 2 Months

Here Are some reflections on being a mom:
~ I never thought I would care so much about poop. The color, the consistency, the amount of... who knew!
~ When my daughter has spit up and the side of her head smells like milk I cannot help but smile because it makes her hair curly!
~ I love to look at her!
~ Even if it is just to watch her breathe
~ I love to see my husband with her and how happy she makes him!
~ My love for her is immense.. God is so perfect showing His love for us through our love for our children.
~ I am not near as anal as I thought I would be!
~ It is fun to see her do new things all the time!
~ I could be very sad but holding her in my arms makes me smile!
~ When she smiles the world gets much brighter!
~ My prayer life has grown leaps and bounds!
~ What a humbling thought that God loves and cares for her more than I do.
~ I love mornings! We sleep in together... sometimes I wake up with her staring at me, when I open my eyes she smiles!
~ I am beginning to understand the difference between being married and being a family.
~ The world doesn't revolve around me, nor does it revolve around her!
~ It is hard to believe my heart is this big!
~ Being a mommy is hard work...
~ but I love it!!!

5 Things I Dig About Jesus

Julie at accidentalpastorswife.blogspot.com tagged me so I guess I should play! :)Here are the rules:

1. those tagged will share 5 things they dig about Jesus…
2. those tagged will tag 5 other bloggers…
3. those tagged will post a comment here with their name and a link to their “dig” Jesus list…

1. Probably the most amazing thing is that Jesus died to set me free. Free from sin, free from death, free from bondage, FREE!
2. His yoke is easy and his burden is light and He desires for me to take it upon myself!
3. He is always faithful even when I am faithless!
4. He is attentive to my prayers and is interceding on my behalf!
5. I dig Jesus because he first dug me :) (is that correct grammer)

So I'm tagging:

Catching Up

I have sat down to write an update so many times and I just get distracted! I cannot believe that July is 1/3 of the way over. Kyla just turned 8 weeks old and before my eyes she is changing daily! On Wednesday night, July 4th, she slept in her crib, in her room, all by herself! It was so sad.... I mean she had no problem with it whatsoever but I did. I kept walking by her room and checking on her! I am thankful for the Angelcare monitor that keeps up with her movements during the night so if she stops moving (breathing) an alarm will sound. It eases the mind a bit! Here she is looking so cute today for church!

Last night I was reading Romans 4 about Abraham's faith and was greatly challenged to have unwavering faith! I mean come on... this man was promised to be the father of a great nation but yet his wife was barren!!! Paul tell us he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in his faith AND gave glory to God. How many times I waver with unbelief when God has set certain promises before me. I am so foolish sometimes and think my way is better or more efficient! I must commit to follow God in such a way as Abraham!!

This was a good lesson for me to learn because many times I seek my own way and do not wait on God and that is not the way it is suppose to be!!! May I learn to have faith like Abraham and not waver in unbelief but give God the glory due to Him!

Branson, MO

Here I sit in the hotel room with Justin's family in Branson, MO. We are looking forward to a few days with his parents, grandparents, Chris & Kellie. I think we might see a show tomorrow but I am not for sure. Hopefully we will hit up the pool. I wanna get Kyla's feet in it and see what she thinks!

She has been so great this whole trip. She is getting kind of cranky, but I think she is exhausted and out of her routine. She is so blessed to be loved so much by so many folks! I am one pooped momma... I didn't know one lil person could take so much energy!

Well she is sleeping so I am sure that means I should be too... so I suppose that is all for now.
